Straight line through the heart of Africa...no hugging the west coast. No supplies, money, or help.

Nope.
Environment alone is bad enough but you go through a lot of areas that make NBR look like Shangri La. You’d end up deader than those dumbasses who decided to bike across Tajikistan and got killed by ISIS.

The Sahara with no water or sunscreen? Yeah, I'll get right on them.

So, a person is supposed to hike through some of the most inhospitable terrain and heavily unstable countries on earth with nothing?
At least make your question plausible idiot.
Yes or no, you're dying.

Not for 5 trillion dollars.

No way. If the jihadis and warlords don't kill you, the desert and jungle will. Not worth it.

Author/Investment banker Jim Rogers and his girlfriend did it for nothing on motorcycles, part of his book titled "Investment Biker"

I’ve been through some interesting times in Africa as a military contractor. Make out the check.

It is plausible, idiot. If someone in Tunisia gave you a key to a safety deposit box in Cape Town with 5 million dollars in it, would you try to make it there? You are poor and have no resources. How much more plausible can I make it?

It probably wouldn't be all that bad if you didn't carry anything valuable...except for the Sahel (southern Algeria, Mali, Niger, Chad, northern Nigeria). That area of the world is a hot war zone right now loaded to the brim with special operations troops from Western militaries, so I wouldn't risk that for any amount of money.
I would probably do like Cape Town to N'Djamena or something like that for 5 million.
