Is vastly different from

quote:

how much do I need to meet my obligations and live comfortably in my neck of the woods

I say this because most people would LIKE, as you put it, to live a lifestyle beyond the one they currently can afford.

Our combined income last year was just over $250K . We live pretty damn good. We could be happy with FAR less if we had to though.

I’m single no kids make 75k salary plus bonus on catfish sales commission at end of the year. Usually 5-10k bonus.
Company provides full health insurance completely free and 401k.
I have a company F250 I take home and can use for personal use, free diesel.

My personal truck, 2015 GMC SLT z71, is paid off.

My bills
625 for rent
Electric is about 120
20 for Natural gas
70 Internet
35 water/sewage/trash
32 for Dish network
40 for gym membership
400 for ski boat note
135 insurance on boat/truck
100 credit card payments
Few small things like Netflix.

Roughly 1700 in bills.
After taxes make about 4,250 a month

Leaves roughly 2550 a month for food, fun, savings

you are both retired and you have a 2K mortgage?
I don’t want to be the one to break it to you, but you failed at estate planning

You can't figure out how they live on 5K a month without a mortgage?

What I make now. My budget grows as my salary increases . I tend to put more towards debt(student loans) as my salary increases. Take home about $1,240 a week. This gives me about $1,100 extra each month to do whatever I want with after my bills & even my "entertainment" budget.

It's all different levels of life.

I was OK, at 2k/month. Simple.

Got the taste of 3k/mo..enjoyed it.

4 and 5k/month great.

6k/month, I feel I should give back, but I don't. I rather enjoy seeing my bank account rise.

Start by putting down the sauce. Your OP is almost unreadable.

That's a lot of words to just say "how much go you make".

I love how when any poster has a high budget there are a rush of downvotes immediately haha. Some very jealous people on this site.

By myself would be around 5k. I’d have to give up a lot of things I like though.

ETA: in reality I have a wife and 2 kids, and mortgage and private school and vehicles notes and country club dues and gym membership and all kids of other shite I can’t remember
