You understand the difference between "discussing details" and "continuing an investigation", correct?

As I said, I hope you aren't agreeing with Goofy Rudy that there's a DOJ policy that investigations can't go on within 60 days of an election.

Because it's ridiculous

He knew she would win and didn't want the president-elect under investigation. He cleared her. He covered for her.

Anyone with the slightest ability to discern knows Comey's motivation. Weiner's laptop had become public and clinton had to be cleared before she put her hand on tthe bible and took office.

I said the NYPD in a prior post I should have said the NY FBI field office.

The FBI field office in NY threatened Comey by going public with Weiner's laptop that contains Hillary's emails.

There was no risk for Comey to restart the investigation because there was a 100% chance of winning. In fact it made him appear bi-partisan and it cleared the deck for an HRC presidency. So he re-opened the investigation to satisfy the NY FBI field office, he accomplished the perception of bi-partisanship, and he cleared the deck for Hillary.

Until she lost.

I was just parroting Rudy. I know what he is doing. It's politics.

What is he helping the establishment distract us from?

War crimes in Yemen?

Continuing the establishment agenda in the Middle East?

His undying allegiance to establishment surveillance on the public?

The obvious answer is that he had to. If you believe that the information was coming out one way or another, he chose the path of least resistance.

Listen, I get that you want one narrative to be the truth. But, step away from that. Any reasonable person would recognize that IF knowledge of the laptop investigation was going to come to light, that the best course of action to protect Clinton would be to announce that internally, and then quickly (insanely quickly relative to the FBI's normal pace) absolve her of any wrongdoing and then publicly announce that there was no new information in the emails.

I realize you may not buy that explanation. But, quit asking dumb questions about "why" as if your questions prove something. There are very simple plausible explanations for "why" things went down the way they did.

He actually has a good point. If collusion isn’t an actual crime you can’t obstruct justice
