Just glad I did not buy a card this month. Would be pissed buying a new 1080 ti for the same price (ish) of the 2080

I bought a 1080 and get a 90 day upgrade policy where I just pay the difference.

Imagine how the people that buy these will feel with the ti's for these models drop a couple of months after

I return the 1080 and pay the difference from the new card and they send me the new one with it already registered.

Always an early adopter cost. Also, at least for the 2080, the Ti is coming out at the same time it seems.

For the TI, most likely, seeing some leaks saying it might be 1200.

1199.99 for the 2080ti and 799.99 for the 2080...

Good Lord. For $500 more, the 2080ti better blow the doors off the 1080ti in performance.

AMD can't compete and crypto mining just adds another customer group. nVidia can charge whatever they want.

Good lord. I might just use my step up for a 1080 TI and be okay with it. Damn.

I dunno if the 1080 TI is worth me upgrading to. I get 240fps in fortnite at the settings I like, 200+ on destiny 2....

Plus I think the cheapest 1080 TI is 200 more than I paid for the 1080. I just don't see the need to upgrade since I don't plan to play in 2k or 4k.

Maybe they'll make the 1080 Ti even cheaper since the 2080 is the same price but better

I wonder if it would be better to wait for the RTX 2070 and see how that compares to a 1080 TI. I might actually only pay 50 for one of those.

They said the 2070 will outperform a Titan XP.

frick that. I was going to upgrade if the prices were what the OP said, but not for $1200

I'm gonna wait for benchmarks and see how the 2070 performs. Either I'll go for that or settle for a 1070 or 1080.

I'll get a 2070. Time to put the 970 to pasture.

I'm not even sure these new cards will perform better at fps much better than the pascal cards. I think they are more of a upgrade to visuals.
