Perhaps... Or maybe she was in a car accident. We just don't know the entire story yet.
It does look bad, granted. However I witnessed a girl have a seizure that caused her to hit her head on a coffee table, giving her a black eye.
Four days later she was drunk and angry and falsely claimed to various people including police that my friend (her now ex-boyfriend) had struck her, causing the injury.
Luckily for him I was present when the seizure occurred, and was prepared to testify if necessary. The charges against my friend were eventually dropped.
Perhaps unlikely, but until he's off the team I'll hold out some semblance of hope.

True. Besides, there’s been a lot of time between incidents and only just now an arrest was made. It does seem odd.
If nothing else, I’m glad the attrition is spread out this year instead of decimating an entire position.

I thought of that as well. My post was worded poorly. It was two completely seperate thoughts and I didn't make that clear.
I just meant that if someone was to break their own ribs to make it look like they were beat, that would be crazy. That's my mistake. Very poorly written on my part.
