The greatest privilege I have is my parents are amazing and definitely out here winning. They couldn't be better role models.

Idgaf how pasty white you are. If your parents suck major arse, life is probably going to be more difficult for you.

This is a hard and fast fact that a lot of people for some reason don't get.

This is the truth. I’m white and there is no doubt there are societal benefits to it. I wouldn’t say that’s my biggest advantage though. We grew up without tons of money. My parents though, neither of whom went to college, were big believers in education. The public school where we grew up was bad. The valedictorian for the year before my older brother was to start school had a 13 on the ACT. My parents decided they weren’t going to send us there. They skimped and saved to send us to a private school. My siblings and I all have graduate degrees yet. You want to talk about privilege. That’s it. Coming from a 2 parent loving household that values education and pushes you and expects you to work hard both in and out of school. That’s privilege.
