That's funny that Jackie Robinson is presented as an example of greatness, when in fact that whole episode underscores the types of deficiencies Cuomo is likely referencing.

Can you point me to a country with no "deficiencies" in their history?

Do you think this country isn't great or ever was great?

Of course not. Why is the assumption that other countries aren't worse?

I don't need to speak in these superlative notes. I think this country is clearly among the best that ever existed. I'm extremely glad I was born here instead of some hellhole (also extremely glad to have been born white, or this country might have still been a hellhole of sorts for me.) And to the extent that it's "great", this current moment is almost certainly the greatest in its history. And there were many periods when the country was demonstrably not great.

Actually, it's curious to me that the crowd who claims to believe that abortion is "baby murder" can simultaneously be so triggered when someone says the country isn't great. For the past 40+ years, this "great" country has officially, legally sanctioned a baby holocaust in numbers that are scarcely imaginable. And yet we are "great"? That doesn't really square.
