Could he be suspended until the outcome? Charges could be dropped or reduced, found not guilty, etc.
Correct

I think you misunderstood my post. My ignoring of due process is because he did not inform any of the coaches of his arrest, which I understand is team policy.

I'm not sure why but just imagining having an official policy where the player has to be like "coach, I got arrested last weekend" just made me

If he was on Bama's two deep right now, the charge would be reduced to a "careless operation" with a small fine. End of story.

Ya'll really need to stop with this every time something semi negative happens to an LSU player.

It makes you very small.

“Lied to the staff” would imply that they heard of his troubles earlier than last week.

My impression has been that the lie was one of omission. I could be wrong, but it seems to make sense if that is in fact the case.

The comments about suiting up again are mind boggling. If he did what he is accused, he will be 135 before gets out of prison.

I agree with you that is what it looks like, but you don't know that for sure only the coaches and Taylor's family know and there hasn't been comment from either side yet. So even though the evidence "or what the public knows" so far points to those facts, neither party has made a statement so until they do it is all speculation, "educated" speculation but none the less still speculation. Let the facts come out and at that time then proper punishment can be handed out. But right now we don't know all the facts, even though you might think you do. So let the process do its thing!!!

Can you explain what you mean by this?

Had he been truthful, upfront, schools would have given him a hard pass. Thusly, we wasted a scholarship on him. Which could have been offered to an equally talented student. Who has now moved on, to another 4-year commitment

You really don't know what the frick you're talking about. It might help if you learned some basic facts like when he signed and when this happened.
