I must be blind I guess, but I just don’t see the customers you all claim. The problem with the concept is salads are readily available everywhere, and at first will generate buzz in a new area. Eventually customers can create their own at home or buy from a restaurant at a set price.

Also odds are one of those 100 toppings has expired past its shelf life, in which they are constantly tossing them driving up cost. No way every item is consumed quick enough before it expires. High food safety risk running a salad bar with that many toppings.

I'll stick to Panera Bread or make my own at home. At least I know what I am going to spend.

So do I. Between $8 and $10 consistently. Not sure what your beef is with this place.

I could see these being successful in Mandeville and Covington, but can’t picture the Amite location doing well.

Agreed, that's like putting a Ruth's Chris in Bangladesh.

Salad Station is OK, but it is easy to end up with a $12 salad, it's hard to practice restraint, "hey, it's salad, I can have all I want".

Fake News. I don't really have beef with the SS. I was simply replying to a comment about how they are expanding rapidly, and already had a Franchisee close down. Just do not see the customers inside the stores. Sure there might be a few customers from 11-1 but after that they pretty much sit empty.

No, you are shitting on everything from the owners to the business model, and doing so with gusto that is bordering on manic. Yeah, you have beef for sure.

Jimmy John's is empty at at 2:30 as well. Are you saying their business model is garbage too?

You know why lunch restaurants are only busy between 11-1? Because that's when people eat lunch moron.
