This is the ace in Trumps pocket this football season. Don’t forget he also publicly stated before the G6 summit that any athletes could call him directly or meet with him to discuss issues they wanted addressed. If they aren’t willing to meet then that’s on them.
I’m surprised that Eric Reid has not taken Trump up on this offer given the fact that he is not a dumb player. The opportunity for him to make an impact on any of his political grievances is wide open. With that said he’s probably concerned more about coming to a solution with the president and the political implications of being associated with Trump than the actual solution (whatever that is).

They're protesting for justice to be brought for injustices in this country. Something we all should fight for. There's just happens to be black ppl being killed by police unlawfully. U know, like getting shot in the back or being shot when they're unarmed.
More unarmed white people were killed by police than black people last year. And the year before. You’re defending a protest that’s a statistical outlier not based in reality. Furthermore, YOU DONT HAVE A RIGHT TO PROTEST IN YOUR UNIFORM AT YOUR JOB

So what were these guys doing during the off season to back up their mantra of inequality? Do you remember seeing headline news about their attempts in righting the wrongs that they kneel about? Yeah, me neither.

The flock should scream about these hateful, violent protests on Facebook
That could start a real dialog

Its not really a protest. Its pointless virtue signaling over a false political narrative.
A real, moving protest would be players making actual sacrifices, maybe sitting out games or seasons and taking huge pay cuts. Instead they sue when their "protest" causes them any financial burden.
It was designed as a simple and peaceful way to draw attention to an issue. Call it what you want. It wasn't well thought out and it gave off the wrong impression. They severely underestimated the number of sensitive pussies out there.

Don’t ruin the definition of fascism because when fascism actually occurs you run the risk of not recognizing it.

Explain, I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Seriously. How is this Fascism?

Instead of protesting less than 0.5% of the killings of blacks, why won't they protest the black on black killings. Black-on-black crime makes up over 90% of the murders of the black community.

I hope the trend continues personally. Last season was so much more enjoyable without those pussies. As a football fan the “boycott” has only been a positive thing. Cheaper tickets and less douchebags is a win in my book

NO IT WASNT. When this protest started in 2016, Kaepernick’s sole reason was wanting a process of investigating police shootings of black men. Guess what. That was already happening. Obama had already instructed Loretta Lynch and the DOJ to fully investigate all police shootings. A black president and a black attorney general were literally doing - and had been for some time - precisely what Kaepernick was asking for. He was just too stupid to realize it

Oh, you mean the case where the police were 100% justified in the shooting and no charges were brought- by neither the state or feds?? The same Alton sterling who was had every drug in the book in his system, resisted arrest, and had a wrap sheet a mile long?? That Alton Sterling?
this is why people think Reid and kaep and the others are just attention whoring. They don’t acknowledge the basic facts in the “high profile” cases they are protesting.

i agree with much of the sentiment, but i do not agree with the president suggesting penalties for this behaviour, suspended without pay. Let the private businesses manage their business, they are losing money and could lose a whole lot more if people really cared about the issue and stopped going. Then it is not about being suspended, but not having a job at all

Nah the players have ruined it
