I used this EXACT analogy the other day. It was , of course, totally ignored.
well then someone was being polite to you. what they should have done is mock your idiotic example.

that's not seriously your rebuttal, is it?

WHAT? Is she serious? What's her reasoning why college should be free?
why shouldn't it be? The average student in Louisiana leaves college $28,000 in debt. you think that's a good idea?

to make college free, for every student in America, would cost $47 billion, and without even blinking we just INCREASED the defense budget by $60 billion, so don't tell me we can't afford free tuition.

Huh? Maybe they should clean themselves up before asking us to clean them up.
they are "us". they're Americans. the Fed has now spent almost 150 billion cleaning up after Katrina. were you Mr Self Reliance then too?

keep adding to the list !!
do we even need too? frick, just one of those two is plenty. Fulton didnt even fail a fricking PED test, how can faking a test be worse than actually failing it?

edit: the point of all this is to keep PEDs out of CFB, but naturally the NCAA has to put the focus on themselves and not the athletes, the spotlight has to be on them, they're the star, so if you try to trick them, they'll get personally offended and throw a hissy fit.
happy to see this, its important. Fournettes a good man, no surprise he'd get involved.

Why?
Russia sanctions us.

since 2014, theyve had a total ban on all American dairy, beef, pork, poultry, fish, fruit, vegetables, and nuts, as well as some prescription drugs. as a result, we have a $10B trade deficit with Russia.

despite endless tweeting about our trade and tariff deals with the G7 and EU, trump has actually never said a word about those deals with Russia.

oh but Im sure he has a perfectly harmless reason for that.

You left out the part where he was reaching for his gun in his pocket
theres no evidence that ever happened.

ftr, if that had been me, and some idiot thug-rushed me in the dark for no apparent reason, you can bet your arse Id pull on him.

Oh, you mean the case where the police were 100% justified in the shooting
the cop who killed Sterling (Blane Salamoni) was fired for violating the BRPD "use of force" policy, after "escalating the deadly encounter from the moment he arrived at the convenience store."

the bodycam footage shows the first officer, Howie Lake, walk up to Sterling and tell him to put his hands on the car, which is fine.

then, less than 6 seconds after this began, with no explanation from anyone as to why the police were there or what they wanted with Sterling, Salamoni takes his gun out, points it at Sterlings head and threatens to kill him

Salamoni at 0:08 - "Don't move bra, stop."

Sterling at 0:10 - "What I did? Sir, what I did, sir?"

Salamoni at 0:14 - "Don't fricking move..."

Salamoni now has his gun out, level on Sterlings head. He starts screaming.

Salamoni at 0:15 - "...I'll shoot your fricking (unintelligible), put your fricking hands on the car. Put your hands on the car, Im'a shoot you in your fricking head, you understand me. Don't you fricking more or Im'a shoot you in your fricking head, you hear me? DON'T YOU frickING MOVE!"

Sterling at 0:28 - "Alright, hold up, hold up man, you're hurting my arm. I'm serious, what happened man?"

Sterling still has no idea whats happening, all he knows is that two cops walked up behind him in the dark 30 seconds ago, put a gun to his head and threatened to kill him.

He was outside this store selling CDs, something he had done for 6 years, with the owners permission.

Yes he apparently had a gun in his pocket. So what. Louisiana is an open carry state, thats perfectly legal, and theres no evidence it ever left his pocket. store video and the store owner back that up.

less than a minute later he was dead.

so, to be specific, Alton Sterling.

NFL players are the 1% bitching that the 99% oppressed them.
theyre not protesting for themselves, theyre protesting for the people who no one would pay attention to otherwise. nothing is more American than the strong fighting for the weak.
i think its more the principal. since 2011 it feels as if every possible thing that could go wrong has gone wrong. its not only been 7 fricking years of bad luck at every turn, but its been 7 fricking years of getting worked over by the SEC and NCAA at every turn.

personally, Im good. Im done with that. enough is enough. Im tired of being treated like some cute little novelty program. we're LSU. we should be scary, not scared, we have that in us if we're willing to turn it lose. we're the 800 pound gorilla with a chainsaw with a dick. its time we started to act like it.
our starting 22 is probably as good as anyone in the country, if our best players can stay on the field, theres literally no one they cant beat.

the instant we get past that however, the wheels fall off pretty quick.

we're very very close to already being past that.

its not like he jaywalked and got hit by a car, as if the action and consequence were immediate and impossible to undo.

when you have 18 months to think a punishment over, you can make it fair. unless you dont want to.

If he signed a 1 year deal for $1MM we would get absolutely torched with recruiting.
despite bama having some of the most condescending c.unts in the country among their overnight army of sidewalk fans, the article is right when it says O would have taken the job for essentially nothing. hell, we probably could have made him buy tickets to the games.

but that's irrelevant bc of what you just said. every coach in every living room of every recruit would annihilate us, and what would really suck is that they'd be right.

that $3.5M buys the appearance of stability. it makes us look like we actually wanted O, that we think hes the answer and things are going well, that LSU is still LSU and we still have money to burn.

none of that shite is true, but the last thing we need to do is admit that.
