I 20 between Dallas and Louisiana is awful

I had to drive to Ruston, Louisiana yesterday. I-20 seems worse than ever. Big trucks were in the left lane trying to pass other trucks, and it would clog up both lanes.
The only bright spot was at the border of Louisiana and Texas. For five miles, the sign said "left land closed ahead" and almost everyone got over into the right lane. Some arse in a Camaro was behind me in the right lane and he decided he was so special he couldn't wait to he darts into the left lane. As we started moving forward, a big 18 wheeler was in the left lane and I noticed he was showing no sign of wanting to get over. I finally figured out that he was blocking the left lane to keep people from running up to the end and trying to force their way in.
The Camaro was behind him.
I thought it was justice.
I've never seen a trucker do that before.

Buccee's is awful. Who wants to be around a bunch of trash? The employees are friendly, I'll admit. Coming back, these three idiots were going 50 in the right lane where 80 splits from 20. I wondered why the hell they were driving so slow.

I'm not the least bit "wacko." And, I am a TI (google and read about it). On my trip to Louisiana, I would see people get on their cell phones as I passed them. Why? I don't know but it was clearly because I was going by them.
And for the other people, the "zipper" doesn't work. The right lane was full by the time you get to the lane change and people forcing their way in cause the r.h. lane to stop.
The zipper would work with decent drivers, but you know that is not the case on I 20.

So all of those idiots were wasting a perfectly good entire other lane, forcing the traffic to back up twice as far as it should have.
This is the fault of people who move over to the right lane WAY before they need to. The guy using the left lane isn’t the one fricking this up.
When 2 lanes go down to 1, the best thing to do is use both of those lanes as long as you can right up to the merge point.
