Kind of wish Dark Samus was her own fighter since there is plenty Dark Samus can do that Samus can't and vice versa. Like Dark Samus can't do the Screw Attack for instance but instead launches herself similar to Fox and Falco.
But yeah, pleased what I'm hearing. I've been hoping for something like Squad Strike.

Where is Richter and Chrom from? When I saw Simon I was saying to myself "No way are they adding Simon Belmont" but that is awesome.

Richter is from Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and later appears possessed by Shaft in Symphony of the Night.

Chrom is from Fire Emblem.
Richter is a descendant of Simon Belmont. He was originally in Rondo of Blood which was a (kick arse) PC Engine CD exclusive in Japan. That was ported to the SNES as Dracula X but cut out so much that Castlevania fans tend to hate on it. He was also in Symphony of Night on PS1.

Also Shovel Knight was shown to be an Assist Trophy, so we can rule him out. The only Indie character I think that stands a chance now is Shantae.

I wish Nintendo would bring back King Wart from Super Mario 2 but I guess he's forever going to be relegated to SM2 remakes and obscure references in random games like Mario Superstar Baseball and Super Paper Mario.
