I was pleasantly surprised with OKC.
Montreal has cool hype around it but it lived up to the hype.

Michigan Ave, The Gold Coast, and N. Chicago are great.
I have a place in West Loop. Love it there.

Milwaukee is fricking fun.
Hells yeah, this. My other sleeper Tulsa got mentioned too.
Also, Oklahoma City fricking sucks.

Chicago
It has a reputation for being a crime infested hell hole for a lot of people. It's legit awesome 6 months of the year.
north shore is as good as the USA gets.
If you dont go to the areas that are dominated by gangs, Chicago is great.
its NYC but affordable.
My favorite gang the Almighty Black P Stone Nation.
Since I left a million Latinos moved to the near South Side.
Required: a garage during winter. Else you will be fighting over a space you shoveled.
Many get by with public transit and rent a car for out of town, same as NYC

The Brick Yard area of OK City is really cool.
The Greenville/Spartenburg/Mauldin area is another place that if you like doing outdoor stuff, you will love it.

You got a couple of answers in Chattanooga.
Greenville is beautiful and clean. It has a great restaurant scene and it’s close enough to Charlotte and Atlanta if you need to hit the big city.
Lots of universities in the area. Furman is in greenville proper, and Clemson is within 20 minutes. There are several other smaller universities like Upstate, Presbyterian and others. All those young people keep the city looking for constant improvement. It may be the best run “college town” in the country.
BMW has a big plant in the area and there is some really cool Civil War and American Revolution history in the area.

Just spent a week in Charlotte- I was very surprised at how nice downtown was. Many great places to eat and drink. Also very clean!
