More excited for mettenberger or burrow?

I'm just thankful you've finally found the caps lock key.
In other news, I still haven't forgiven Miles for not letting Mett clinch the win on 3rd down against bammer in 2012. Could have been a national championship season, and, could have done wonders for the psyche of this program after the 2011 melt.

Offense shite the bed against Ole Miss and really put the defense in a bind against Bama with turnovers and Mett being hobbled. The defense wasn’t great but it was still pretty decent. Absolutely not “dog shite”.
Defense was not good early in the season. They could not stop anybody, constantly blown coverages and welter mis-fitting in holes opening up running lanes.
Defense did well against a bad Florida offense.
Against Ole Miss our offense did not perform well in the first half, but the defense wasn't exactly stopping the Ole Miss offense. They were moving the ball pretty easy. Bo threw well over 300 and drove down to win the game.
Against Bama our offense turned the ball over at their goalline and then deep in our own territory but after that pur offense scored 14 points the rest of the first half. The defense started to break and couldn't stop Yeldon or McCarron.
Once we got to Texas A&M we played well our corners were able to stay with their receivers, Robinson shutting down Evan's was key.
They weren't able to stop a bad Arkansas team from running the ball up and down our throat until kate in the game when we needed stops to get the ball back.
Iowa was probably the best the defense played the whole year against an average team.
2013 defense was not even a good defense. I wouldn't call them dog shite compared to the likes of a Texas tech defense. But it was the absolute worst defense of the Miles Era.

Oh my God man , Harris was terrible!! Couldn’t read a defense to save his life !!! Every time he dropped to throw you could hear a collective gasp from the LSU side lines ! It didn’t get any better at NC , so don’t blame Miles for his inefficiency at QB , he was just plain bad !!!

I think I was probably more excited for the proven talent mettenberger had surrounding him, but I’m excited about the ability to scramble that Burrow has

Harris played under a Les Miles Offense. What did you expect to happen.

but Burrow has a chance to be a once in a generation type player

I guess your hopes were dashed when the UNC transfer didn't make LSU coaching look silly.

The guy owns two wins over Saban and helped LSU to two top ten teams, but he's shite and Lee, who shite in his bed every time Alabama looked at him, was mistreated.

Well considering the options at this point there is reason to be excited

imo, Burrow will be a better QB. of course I can't prove that since he hasn't played yet. but I never was a strong Mett fan (part of which may be Miles damn offensive strategy) because I think OBJ and Landry were the reasons he completed so many passed. hell, much of the time he just threw the ball up there knowing those two would beat their opponent the vast majority of the time. AND, burrow is more mobile

Harris was actually far worse at UNC. There he completed less than 50% of his passes and threw 8 picks in only 6 appearances.

2013 may have been better than the 2008 defense. That 2008 D was straight garbage against the pass (81st) and gave up 25.9 points a game. By comparison 2013 scoring D gave up 22 points per game.
Of course some of those stats are due to the offenses, the 2013 offense didn't but the D in as many precarious situations.

The 2008 defense was better than the 2013 defense.
7 pick sixes account for 42 of those points.
2008 was more a product of a bad offense. You put that 2008 offense with that 2013 defense and 6 wins would be a miracle.

Just want to watch a LSU game and finally say..."look honey we have a good QB."
Posted on 8/5/18 at 11:18 am to goatmilker
I'm ready for my wife to ask " does our qb suck this year?" No not really. He's okay actually.
I just want an ok qb.
