As far as mic skills, I always liked Arn Anderson's interviews back in the days of NWA and even WCW. He made his interviews believable.

Like I said I see where you are coming from I just don't think the WWE would have made that decision....it was easy to do with guys who were getting older like Hercules and Barbarian at the time...plue they were guys that couldn't draw shite....whereas Scott even at that time was part of one of the highest drawing tag teams (and had drawing power written all over him as a single at the time).
I just think WWE would have taken a flyer on him even with the steroid trial similar to what they did with Luger and Scott Hall

He could definitely hold your attention when he had the mic. Not everything he said was coherent, though.
