Kamara’s touches are also much more valuable than Cook’s touches in a ppr league. Giving Kamara 160 carries/800 yards/80 catches/720 yards/9 TDs gets to you 286, which is extremely close to Melvin Gordon’s 2017 RB5 season. I think Kamara’s ADP is fine.

I would take Kamara over Cook in PPR but Cook is gonna be great.

Dude was on pace to lead the league in rushing pre injury.

Back end is great this year considering you can get Cook and an elite WR depending how the cards fall.

they gonna use the shite out of him.

love em.

I think his ADP is fine too. Just prefer cook over him

Think there is some regression coming on a per touch basis as well as a TD regression. And I only think regression for no other reason except that he will be the best RB of all time if he can sustain it

think you take Kamara, you’re drafting him close to his ceiling.

That’s exactly what I want in a 1st round pick. Super talented in an established role

Hey I’m a fan, I was banging the drum for him last draft season, couldn’t understand how the “experts” didn’t see he was in line for a prime role that’s been fantasy relevant for a decade.

Payton clearly loves the guy so I’m not worried about his touches, whether he continues to have a nose for the end zone will be what determines whether or not it was worth a first rounder

Don't forget Kamara barely saw the field the first 4-5 games last year. Once they launched Peterson, his found his role and started getting regular touches.

Positive drumbeat continues. No setbacks in ACL rehab.

Last year, Dalvin Cook played on 70% of MIN snaps and #Vikings finished 2nd in RB rush attempts. Meanwhile, Cousins is 2nd in QB Rating (106.4) & Success Rate (52%) throwing to RBs (last two seasons).

Also a good reminder since all we have is a small NFL sample… Dalvin Cook’s Yards Created data at FSU showed a highly creative and elusive runner behind a terrible offensive line.

I’m a Cook guy. Kamara is just safer. If im taking Cook it’s at the end of round 1

I think unlike last season it’s going to be really hard to frick up your first round pick, you’re going to get a good player there without the question marks, didn’t feel that way at all last season

Dalvin Cook (Min) – Cook is coming off a severe injury, but he was well on his way to a huge rookie campaign when he tore his ACL in Week Four. Over 16 games, Cook’s pace would’ve put him at 1416 rushing yards – Kareem Hunt had a league-leading 1327 rushing yards – and a healthy 360 yards receiving and 44 receptions. Cook is on schedule to be ready for Week 1, which is nearly 11 months after his surgery. New OC John DeFilippo loves Cook and will look to utilize him a ton in the passing game with new QB Kirk Cousins. The Vikings got excellent work out of Jerick McKinnon last season, but his 68 targets have now moved onto San Fran. Backup Latavius Murray saw just 17 targets all of last season, and he doesn’t pose much of a threat to take Cook off the field in passing situations.

DeFilippo is pretty good, Cook gonna be PPR gold.

In a 10 team Cook would be great at 10 and then you'd be able to turn around and get another stud RB or WR at 11

What are the other precedents of coming back from ACL surgery successfully other than Peterson?

Jamaal Charles had a great season (top 3 IIRC) after coming off his ACL tear.

Thanks Gyno. I think I'm really stuck between Cook/OBJ/Barkley. I do not think Hopkins will be available or any of the Big 5 (Gurley, DJ, Zeke, Brown, Bell).

Why? Just bc of Cook’s injury?

Kamara just has a built in role catching passes that has been in the offense for more than a decade , and he’s the best one to come thru

Cook is a 9th percentile SPARQ athlete coming off an ACL. He defied odds last year in a small sample size but I’m curious to see if the ACL affects him at all.
