I’m the 8th pick in a 12 team 0.5ppr and I’m actually thinking of going with Dalvin Cook. Not particularly enamored with Kamara. I’d like Hopkins or Barkley but I think they’ll be gone?

Anybody else think the 2nd round is terrible too? I feel like I’m forced into drafting players I don’t love at all.

The second round is amazing. There is so much top end talent.

Then don’t Kamara if you weirdly are scared of him. There are very few guys in the top ~20 I would avoid.

Not taking Kamara with the 8th pick in a PPR would be your first mistake assuming he even makes it there. Having a personal bias against players who you don’t love would be your second. Production is production. Value is value. Don’t let emotions cloud your judgement.

You don’t have to worry about picking Kamara at 8

But go ahead and take Cook, you do that buddy

Maybe everybody is playing mind games but from conversations in our chat, he seems to be falling to 8th. None of us are from the LA area so we aren’t as crazy about him.

I can obviously see his crazy production last year, but Cook seems to have been on a similar path on a worse offense. Now they’ve added Cousins, OL, etc. He can also catch/run. Defense will probably play game script their way too. And while I agree Ingram isn’t a huge threat, he’s still there. Really trying to take an objective look.

And all for naught if Kamara actually gets picked before if you guys are correct. THEN would Cook seem ok to you guys? (I chose Gurley 4th overall last year, and got ridiculed because of my objective “feelings”)

If you took Gurley 4th last year, you were not being objective and just furthers the point. This is coming from a Todd Gurley owner in every single league I was in. The move just so happen to work out for you but at 4, it was a reach based on his past production, new coaching staff, and a unproven quarterback people were ready to write off so soon.

Now regarding Cooks at 8, I couldn’t do it. But as random as football is and if you like him that much to consider him there, go for it.

Kamara will likely get picked before 8, but if he's there, I say you pick him. I don't care if you're not enamored with him. He's the better pick to me over Odell, Julio, Michael Thomas, Kareem Hunt or whoever else will likely be available. You can easily get Cook in the 2nd round too if you want him. So if I were you,Depending on who is there, I would pick Kamara at that spot. If not, then I'd probably pick Odell.

Keenum had a great year with Minnesota last year and they traded him. I'm on the wait and see approach to how much better Cousins will do in Minnesota.

Take Kamara at 8 in PPR. Then you can get Cooks at 16.

What is with the belief that Cook comes of that injury and returns to 1st round talent? I've seen this a few places and don't understand.

Eta: I know they say he looks good, but camp and 3 games into a season are different.

I’d take Cook over Kamara in standard leagues. But in pprs, I woukd lean the latter.

We forget Cook was pacing 296/1416/8 and 44/360. Give or take he was looking like a top 5 RB. I would bet on the volume of 300+ touches, good offense and better QB play

I love Kamara but you’re looking at 200 touches. It’s going to be hard to go nuts and repeat 2017

What are the other precedents of coming back from ACL surgery successfully other than Peterson?
