Name An Athlete You Really Like That Did Nothing

A thread on the Saints board gave me this idea. We all have a player or a few that we grew fond of even if they weren't the big name.
Who were some of yours? Could be any sport, a guy that never really did much, a guy that was a stud in college and never found it in the pros, etc.
One for me would be Cowboys TE James Hanna, mostly because he is the best athlete to come from my high school so it was cool to see him donning the star.
Two others would be Texas A&M b-ball players Derrick Roland and Joseph Jones. Roland had a severe injury that basically ended his career, and Jones never had the athleticism to play professionally.
Then of course Jerrod Johnson. Probably the most hyped A&M QB before Manziel

Nick Kyrgios is heading that way. I thought he would be the next big thing after making two slam QFs at age 19. He's 23 years old now and has yet to make it past the 4th round since.

Two names come to mind. Ryan Leaf and Heath Shuler. Both remarkable, great college QBs who were a complete bust, and the pro game was too fast for the other

Joel Zumaya on the Tigers was supposed to be everything Aroldis Chapman became.

Ron Brooks. He never got to start at LSU because we’ve always had a loaded secondary. Goes to the combine and runs a 4.3 40, gets drafted by the Bills and manages to stick around in the league for a few years.
EDIT: non-LSU Guy: Ciatrick Fason. Was a legend in HS, great at UF and absolutely dissapeared in the pros. Always liked his running style and he has an awesome name.
