I have a gut feeling about Coach O.

Maybe its just hope, but I feel that we are poised on the edge of a knife. One side leads to a new era of dominance in the SEC with the Tigers fielding an apocalyptic defense and an uncontainable offense with assassins on special teams, extra point tries and punt/kick off returns. Furthermore, reloading every year with top 5 recruiting classes. We comin!!!!!
We all know what the other side leads to. We have been there and we smell it again. Its like smelling everclear 6 months after downing 14 shots of jet fuel at Fred's on a dumb summer's evening in Tigerland. It is deep brain revulsion and fear. The smell of Ole Miss and the Canada experiment mixed with Monster energy drink, all wrapped up in a discarded sweaty coaches polo, found in the corner of the locker room, after the Troy loss. We know!!! stop talking about it before you make somebody sick!!!!
I choose to believe. I choose to be the best fan I can be. No criticism until the games are played. No negative thoughts until the clock reads 0:00 and victory is out of reach. Pull for the Tigers, pull for the Coaches, be a positive voice in Purple and Gold Glasses and have fun

if it's Orgeron, it's likely a butter knife

No one knows how good or how bad this team is going to be.
The optimists see a lot of change to the staff and a lot of new players and believe we have a chance to contend for the West.
Pessimists believe there's no hope. The coach is subpar, the schedule too tough and our staff can't cut it. They clamor for change here every day and just know we have no shot.
I see the changes, I see new players and believe we have s shot, but if it doesn't come to pass and our team isn't sound and isn't competitive; then I can see changing cosches at the end of the year, BUT NO ONE KNOWS for certain what's going to happen.
So why post the same old stuff every day? Nothing is going to happen now.

So if we miss a tackle and the other team scores, i’m not allowed to feel bad?
What you’re asking is humanly impossible if you’re a fan. The emotional roller coaster is part of the experience.
We’re all hoping for the best.

Wrong
The SuppOrters pleas for more time are the daily cries you hear, citing the fact that 2018 team could be better than the 2017 team but poor O got stuck wth the hardest schedule any college football coach has ever been set to face in recorded history.

I’m not gonna say I was happy about the O hire and he still annoys me but he has done almost everything right since the season ended. He has brought in all the key pieces and done what could be done to make this team better. Ensminger wasn’t a sexy hire but I really don’t have an issue with it. We haven’t had a great OC in a while so I don’t get excited with big names anymore. It’s all about the QB to run an offense which hasn’t existed in some time. I wish we had a better running back but that’s about it. I have realistic expectations for this season but if Burrow can be an improvement the sky is the limit going forward.

Define more time?
This season IMHO is enough time, and any more is really not warranted.
But some act as if it's already decided, we are going to be bad and the season is already over before it starts.
Neither group is realistic.

Ironically, this is kind of jumbled. The Orgeron loyalists are the ones who bring up the schedule and say 9 wins would be acceptable. Ree went mental in a thread a few weeks ago because posters dared to expect a 10 win season.
Many of the skeptics believe we have the talent to contend for the West, just not the head coach. A NY6 bowl is a reasonable goal to have.

You're right. Hey Chicken, you hear that? Time to shut the board down until the season starts.

Sure is hope that is true.
But what in Os history suggests this is possible?

Why do we need a big name? There is a middle ground between big name and Ensminger.
You know what one of the keys to long term success is? Finding an up and comer BEFORE he's a big name. Get someone that runs a modern offense successfully and has proven his proficiency. There's no fewer than 5 guys that you could go out and target with that profile, and one of them probably takes the promotion to LSU.

That's even moreso a reason why you need a good OC.
Do you realize that Kliff Kingsbury had Davis Webb, Baker Mayfield and Patrick Mahomes all on his roster in the course of a couple of years?
Do you think he's just that lucky in finding QBs? Or maybe he has a preternatural talent for finding QBs? Why don't you want to go and get the guy that knows how to find the talent and has proven it, over just winging it like we're doing?
