Snapchat also down 5%.

Social media future isn't looking so bright, seems people may be getting tired of the constant nonsense

quote:

largest exchange-traded fund to track social-media companies tumbled on Friday, dragged lower for a second straight session by a precipitous drop in Twitter shares, which tanked following disappointing quarterly results. The Global X Social Media ETF SOCL, -4.53% lost 4.5%, building on a 3.5% drop that came on Thursday. Twitter TWTR, -19.13% plunged 19% after giving a third-quarter outlook that was below forecasts. The disappointing results followed a similarly weak report from Facebook FB, -1.63% which suffered its biggest loss ever on Thursday. Facebook extended its decline on Friday, down 1.5%, while Snap Inc. SNAP, -5.01% was off 5.7%

They must silence the sheep....You will only get your info from CNN and MSNBC. Would not be surprised if they outlaw forums like this in the future....This is what happens when one of their puppets is not elected President of America.

Social media is overvalued and a correction is long overdue.

Normally I would find this economically unfortunate, but since they are the enemy of my values, I’m good.

The benefits of the death of social media would be on par with Trump winning the election.

Too bad I don't see it happening for a long time.

I spent way more time on this forum then all social media combined.

In fact, I only go on social media maybe once a day just to check up on family-related stuff.

Got tired of seeing snowflake posts about everything from Trump to people telling me why I should become a vegetarian, for the good of the earth.

Who could have predicted how difficult it is to monetize a picture of a taco taken by someone you hated in high school?

Wrong. Twitter explained it for simpletons like you. Twitter stocks didn't drop...there was simply a period of declining value in Stock price.

Was only a matter of time. They don't create anything.
