Anyone use any of these providers? How's their coverage? Just tired of paying an arm and leg for name brand service.

I can afford a regular provider

I’ve heard cricket is the same as AT&T but half the price. Unlimited everything. Still on Verizon at the moment.

I can as well just wondering if these providers are actually reliable

I have straight talk. 55 a month unlimited everything. Works great. It uses like 4 of the regular providers networks so I really have better coverage than if I just had at&t for example.

I believe these providers only cater to the following clientele

$30 a month for unlimited talk and text, 1 GB of 4G data, and unlimited 2G data. Good deal.

Arent they just bulk "wholesalers" of which ever network they have a deal with?? ATT, verizon, Sprint are the network owners Im thinking
Just dont which does what, and some may combine them to help with coverage gaps.

Straight talk is 100% the same as AT&T. $50 per month including tax and fees for unlimited talk/text and 10 GB data. I don't see why anyone uses a regular provider for full price.

I just switched from t-mobile to cricket. I have much better coverage with cricket especially outside cities and you can't beat unlimited for $50 a month

Verizon or bust.
It's that simple.

Would love to hear an explanation on how Straight Talk is 100% the same as AT&T.
Straight Talk is rated the lowest of the major prepaid providers.

I think he means the coverage; they probably use the same towers. Cricket also uses AT&T towers, so their coverage is pretty good.
Husband & I both have Verizon for work phones, but his personal phone & our kids' phones are Cricket. He says his Cricket phone actually works better in some areas than our Verizon ones. Cricket seems to have pretty good customer service too. After the flood in 2016, AT&T towers were down for a while which REALLY sucked for all AT&T users (and Cricket users). Cricket immediately credited us for a month while friends & family were still fighting with AT&T to get a credit for lost coverage.

No lie, I use boost mobile. Like you I got tired of paying an arm and a leg for at&t coverage. Switched over a couple years ago and never had a problem with it. $50 for unlimited everything and the service/connection is the same as any other big name provider in my area.

I switched to Cricket a year ago when we became a four phone household. I was paying $180 for three lines, 12gb per phone with AT&T.
I now pay $100 a month (including taxes) for four line that are unlimited with Cricket.
Only things I've noticed about Cricket, it doesn't work in Europe and you must dial the area code for local numbers.

Straight talk is better than AT&T, like I already said... It uses their Network plus some of the others like verizon, TMobile, etc.
It may be the lowest of the prepaid providers like criket and boost. But that may be because they have better deals for family packages.
Last time I looked straight talk was better for just one person, but some of the others had better deals for families.
ETA: just looked and cricket has better family deals, but their unlimited data isn't true unlimited high speed data like straight talks is. It throttles you after 22GB. Not a big deal for some, but is for others like me that live in the boonies.

I love Cricket because I got in on 5 phones unlimited everything, of course data will throttle after so much, but IDC about that.. I pay only $100 even for 5 lines.. and no other charges.. I just can't beat that for my family.
and the service is superior than t-mobile's in my are (lafayette/louisiana)
they use at&t towers
the only thing i do not like is i don't have option to create a hotspot unless i pay extra or jailbreak.. but that's no biggie to me any more.. t-mobile would allow me to create hotspots for free.

Yup! That's why I made the switch because t-mobile's service wasn't great here.. but cricket uses at&t and it's much better where I live.
oh and at the time they paid me to make the switch from t-mobile.. (they no longer offer this promo) the first six months were basically free for me and I got in on the 5 lines for $100.. it's now 4 lines for 100 i think.
