getting towards the end of the hanson plan. one hard run left in the morning, then a nice taper. the mid week runs have been tough. but it has been nice to not have to do so much on the weekend.

anyone doing the louisiana marathon? I just signed up.
hanson training plan was a success. took 15 minutes off my pr. gonna try to take 10 more off at LA. looks like a nice course to do that.

Did my first ever 10k today. Finished at 48 minutes, which I'm perfectly happy with.

Working on a 5K PR. I'm in week 10 of a 16-week program, currently. I plan to race in November.
This week's goal volume is 52 miles.
M: 5K test to set current training paces
Tu: 7-mile easy run with 8 X 12-second hill sprints
W: 2 Mi warm-up; 12 X 400m repeats @ 5K Pace with 2-minute jogging recoveries; 2 Mi cool down.
This morning: 7-Mile Recovery Run
Tomorrow: 10-Mile Easy Run
S: 2-Mile WU; 2 X 15-Minutes at 1/2 Marathon Pace w/ 2-Minute recovery interval; 2-Mile CD
Su: 12-Mile Progression Run (last 20 minutes at moderate pace)
I'm also doing weight training in the evenings. I took a week off from that while adjusting to keto.

Ran my first half marathon distance trail run today. Did it in 2:47. Not great, but I'll take it.
Any advice on eating during the run? What do y'all think about energy gel? I didn't do this and I hit a wall at about mile 9 and just struggled terribly to the end.

Put in 6 miles on Friday and another 4 on Saturday on the NW Arkansas Greenway that runs through Fayetteville. What a cool course. Great way to keep in shape and see the city at the same time. Nice resource.

I hurt my knee during my 25k a couple weeks ago and have been resting since. Took my first run today.

I am trying to get into running after not really ever doing it since being a kid. Ran my first 5k last week and came in at 33:25. I was just glad to finish it running and decided to try to finish the year off with a better time. Got another one Dec 14 and I am just looking to improve the time with each one I run from here on out. Just wanted to share and start getting in on the conversation here.

I'm training for my first marathon in February. I ran a half race Sunday and did pretty well. My right foot is giving me problems on the ball. Feels like its in the metatarsal joints. I'm going to force myself to take a week off so hopefully I can heal up, but it's going to be hard. We shall see.

Ran the Louisiana Marathon on January 19th. Quite disappointed in my time (4:31).
A bit difficult staying motivated after the marathon but still trying 3-4 days a week and trying (notice I said trying) to hit 100 miles a month.

First 50k in three weeks. Feeling good after Louisiana marathon. Gonna try to use that fitness to my advantage. If all goes well I may try a 50 miler end of March.
