Rushing into the video store and having the satisfaction of the game/movie being behind the case.
Waiting for a significant amount of time to hear the song you want on the radio and taping it at just the right second.
I realize all this shite is available instantaneously for a nominal fee but there was absolutely something about the gratification of waiting and the subsequent payoff.
