One of history's most brilliant economists. Wish he was around today. He's sorely needed now with the increasing popularity of socialist ideals in American society.

He could not win the Nobel Prize in today's world.

It is a shame we don’t have more voices like Milton Friedman today. He was right about so much. One of the greatest Americans ever and most Americans have never heard of him!

Socialism is an easy sell to people who have no long term concept and no economic understanding. Sure, free health care and free education sound wonderful. But stop and think of what it will cost, and how can you possibly maintain it?
That is why socialism ultimately fails. At some point, it becomes unsustainable and the economy crashes. The problem is people who want socialism are either lazy mooches who can't afford to take care of themselves, or ultra rich liberals who aren't affected by tax increases.

He would get bashed by the left for breadcrumbs and the Trump base for being against tariffs.

We the people must FIX capitalism. The corrupt cronyism that encompasses DC and other cities is destroying us. STOP CORRUPTION!! I think that independent investigators and CPA’s should publicly audit every member of elected office. If u don’t want your info exposed don’t run. A public accounting of every single dollar on elected officials is a must.

quote:
A Scandinavian economist once said to Milton Friedman, ‘In Scandinavia, we have no poverty’. Milton Friedman replied, ‘That’s interesting, because in America, among Scandinavians, we have no poverty, either’ (quoted by Kotkin, 2009).

bad music
bad art
social stagnation
and really unhappy people.”
