I heard that Rondo was going to go where the money was offered. Just what I heard.

So weird seeing the responses to a guy I know personally. Been on radio shows with and the like.

@DMGrubb: As I confer with other members of the media, I do stand by what I said but it appears to be an initial reaction and that discussions have been had between Davis and the team to put him at ease. Thank you to those individuals who chose to reach out rather than take shots.

AD was worried about buying his California home when all this went down?

Rondo got the money he wanted and the best odds at a ring.

Also lakers are not contenders either
If Kawhi manages to leverage his way to be traded to the Lakers, they become contenders.

Not only this but with Lebron the Lake show is better than the Pels. It’s realy a no brained if someone had to choose Nola with AD or the Lakers with Lebron.

OK
This Lakers team as currently constructed will have a very hard time making the playoffs. They are not one of the best 8 teams assuming health to all teams in the West. The Pels are.

Bull crap. Lebron is that good. That roster wins 50.

Cleveland this past season barely won 50... in the East.

Yes and the Lakers have a real coach and more talent than Cleveland even with their shitty offseason

I don’t doubt AD was surprised and maybe a little hurt initially...I think we were all caught off guard by rondo bolting for the money without any apparent regard for the clearly enjoyable relationship he had with the team. He made a huge impact off the floor and the team will miss that
it’s not the pels fault that rondo evidently didn’t communicate with Davis

Mike Trudell: Pelinka shared this about Rajon Rondo on @SpectrumSN: “The first day when Rondo came, the first thing he did is ask, ‘Where’s your film guy.’ He had him pull film on every single player on our roster so he could start to study their tendencies.’” –
It’s little things like this that will make me miss Rondo. Dude had intangibles that didn’t show up on the stat sheet.

at this point in his career that is his most marketable skill. He’s a mercenary savant

I mean hopefully some of what he brought rubbed off on some guys at least

If he healthy year this season will they go ahead and offer the 239 mil super max? He plays the 4th year he will opt out and will go to a big market with good management. Hell, he might go home to Chicago. LA, if healthy nearly every team would make room for him.
