Finished solo 3rd
Won over 400,000
Qualified for the British Open
Jumped from 124 to 81 in FedEx Cup
It took over 25 minutes for a ruling and the group behind them played through.

Tiger did the same thing at the players a few years back. I guess it's a right of passage

A few things
Let the rules official sign if you do not concur
&
Handle this crap in the clubhouse / locker room - you don’t take this to social media.
If he cheated, the pros will take care of it.

Tiger's playing partner that day (Greyson Murray I believe, could be wrong) agreed with Tiger on the spot to drop. Once they both agree then that decision is final. It was a call in viewer that argued the opposition according to the pro tracer on the TV. This is not at all the same thing.

It was Casey Whittenberg and he ain't debating tiger tricking woods about a ruling

I don't have to be the judge. I wasn't there and not in the group. The judges of the matter (Tiger and Wittenberg) made the ruling and both signed the card. Matter closed.

And I'm sure Whitenberg got an invite to the hero world challenge that year

For taking part in a routine ruling? You're trying too hard here.

It's like when you're looking down the line from behind the golfer... half the time it looks like he shanked it.

Not only that, but the only view Tiger and Casey had was from the tee box. That’s it, their only vantage point. From there, it might have looked like it was over land the whole way even if it wasn’t. Either way, they both saw it and agreed so the rest is just noise from people with a potentially better view that they weren’t privy to.

Douchey move by Dahmen. They made the decision on the course, and it was cleared by the rules official. It's over.

Pretty sure the douche is the guy who cheated. And it’s becoming more and more apparent he cheated.

In this same vein I have a hazard question. There is an island green staked by yellow hazard lines. You hit your approach into a green side bunker (within the yellow hazard) and skull it to the other side of the green and it rolls into the water. What is the ruling here? I know yellow gives you three options 1) drop zone if marked 2) replay as close as possible to last shot 3) where ball last crossed hazard as far back as you want mainting that line (think these are your 3 options). Let’s say there is no designated drop zone and you have already crossed the hazard (shot into green side bunker) and now have crossed back into the hazard (skilled bunker shot). Assume you replay as close as possible (I.e. hit in bunker again)?

While that may be true, I find Dahmen's actions incredibly petty.

You either drop it in the bunker or go on the other side of the lake and drop, keeping the point where it last crossed the line between you and the hole.

I've seen it happen at the #3 at Zurich at least a few times. Player hits straight towards the water and the ball never comes back. Player asks the other player where should I drop. Other player says "up here somewhere". I think it happens a lot out there.
Players also move their balls while clearing debris and fixing mystery marks on the greens.

I think this happened to Vijay Singh at a tournament , major maybe? He hit his ball into the water. Rules official said drop way back near the tee box. VS swore up and down that he hooked it into the water and should be allowed to drop way further up. Due to the lack of ball trace tech at the time, the rules official simply let VS call it like he saw it.
Change the rule. Hook slice whatever, straight line path only when determining these things.
