Google was blocking negative reviews yesterday. You could see that there were a shitload of 1* reviews but they wouldn’t come up when you tried to sort for them.

Google maps has now conveniently removed the review section for this particular eating establishment...

Or order a big meal and while halfway finished with it, change into a MAGA hat and T-shirt...
It would be great to get kicked out on the spot (you go NOW!)
But not so great if I had to pay and support bigotry.

I like this. Tie up all the tables and make it difficult for the servers to flip them.
No, let’s just quietly ostricize them.
Exclude them from polite society.
They are beneath us, and should be treated as such.
Besides, we can’t assume the servers agree with the owner.

To be fair, Google and Yelp have measures to prevent establishments from receiving obvious negative reviews from people who haven't actually been there, which is a good thing IMO. I'm not a fan of letting mobs run wild with negative reviews on Yelp or Google.
That is if they enforce it equally.
This place will be hit hard regardless.

We can when, according to the owner, the servers were the ones who called her making an issue out of it.

ah, the irony of it all!

Online booking from now on, don’t think their phone is gonna work for awhile.

But do you know what they said? Do you know what that individual intended, when they mentioned it to the owner?
The ultimate problem whith punishing the servers is that it suggests you are equals. And that degrades you.

Yep. Anything posted this weekend is automatically suspicious. Smart people say they were in town visiting relatives and had a bad experience. Dumb people openly say the 1 or 5 star rating is for their discrimination - those will end up getting removed.

This reminds me of the vegan restaurant where the proprietors kid was running around the restaurant naked, showing customer's their butthole and the owner had a hissy fit when some guy complained about it.

Meh, they’ll be fine.

I really do admire people who just say “frick it”and double down.

Yes.
They specifically picked up the telephone, called the owner and asked her to get down there because Sarah Sanders was in the restaurant and they were hesitant to serve her.
Now shame on the owner for not acting like the boss and telling her staff to suck it up, be professional and do their jobs. But let’s not act like the staff had no part in this when they were the ones who actually instigated the incident.

Your reading intent in the absence of information.
The server posted that he waited on Sanders for two minutes before “the owner” kicked her out.
And the chef made the call, not the server.
There’s no bragging in the servers message. It suggests surprise more than anything else.

“Meanwhile, Stephen Russek of Natural Bridge, Va., told a reporter: “I’m not crazy about everything Donald Trump does, but what they did to that woman in this restaurant is disgraceful.””
