Valverde in the chase group. Is Movistar going to do anything today?

UK Postal have ruined the sport. Shaping up for more boring tempo riding.

There was no neutral start for the race today. Race was on from the gun. None of the GC contenders attempting to get in the break allowed Sky to get their train on the front per usual.

No way to attack with 5 Sky guys in the bunch. It would get chased down instantly

Not sure Alaphilippe has enough in the tank to take b2b stage wins in the mountains..but I hope so. That kid is so fun to watch and he handles the bike on descent as well as I've ever seen.

On a sid enote, any of yall actually ride? What kind of bikes do you have? I am in the midst of buying a new road bike and I just can't decide bc there are just so many solid endurance/race bikes in the 2500-5K range.

I have a Giant TCR Advanced. I like it a lot. At the price range you're looking at, all of the bikes are good. Really can't go wrong with any of the big brands now. I'll probably get a Canyon for my next bike. Direct to consumer cuts the price down a good bit.

Let me guess, these contenders are going to wait until 5kms out and then start acting like they want to be aggressive.

Finally some action. Nairo and Martin. Sky doesn't care

Thomas has the benefit of making Dumoulin chase though as if Froome gets minutes Sky still win

Horrible time keeping there though, at one point it should 39 sexonds when it cant have been more than 10
