If you approach that lake wrong, it is a fricking disaster, but I kinda enjoyed that there were challenges in DS1 beyond just combat.
Once you get past the poison once, that part is a complete joke. The pygmies up in the town are a much bigger pain in the arse.
ETA: One of my complaints with DS3 was that it stripped out so much of that. It made the game feel more like a mainstream action game rather than the really unique waythat DS1 challenges you.

I felt like the bosses especially were much easier in DS1 than DS3. Beat a few of them 1st attempt. That never happened in DS3 for me. The dragon in DS3 is still the most infuriating thing ever.

I think coming to DS1 from DS3 really skews the difficulty of the bosses (since I think you were the one who said they did that). Part of what made DS1 so difficult was how different it was. The only game I know of at that time with a similar combat was system was MH, which was a very niche game.
DS1 with bosses as mechanically taxing as DS3 would have been a fricking disaster. Plus coming back with an understanding of how character building and upgrading works is a huge advantage. I had to figure most of that shite out on my own.
With that said, the DS3 bosses are much more mechanically taxing, but some of them have such horrible camera control issues it made me want to scream.

Are these games harder, easier, or on par with Bloodborne, cause as i said earlier, i cant really get going with Bloodborne so should I just not even try with these?

The boss fights in DS3 are significantly more difficult than 1 and 2.

No question. Your first Soulsborne game is always your hardest (and it’s not close). By 3, I had the formula so down pat that I was able to sleepwalk through most every boss save for Pontiff, Friede 3rd stage, Midir, and Champion Gundyr (until I got the parry timing down). There are too many gimmick fights. Even NK was pretty easy once you got the patterns down. Most bosses in 3 were a joke for a series veteran
No soulsborne boss gave me as much trouble as Ornstein & Smough did in 1

Different. You owe it to yourself to play them. You can slow it down a lot more and tank with a shield if you need to. Once it clicks, it clicks. A lot of people struggle with how aggressive and fast B.B. is. You can slow down the Souls games a lot more
I’ll loan you DS1 Remastered.

Appreciate that, but you don't have to, at the rate I seem to play these type of games you may never get it back
I will probably buy it soon so it will be downloaded when I get home tonight.

Oh God yeah, the Archdragon Peak fight is just broke completely because of the awful camera system there.

So i bought DS3 while it was still on sale last night and will play it after i play DS1. I started my GOW grind for platinum last night while I am waiting

Fired it up and started playing again since this was brought up. And I'm at the boss of Archdragon now.

Can anyone comment on the DLC's that came out? I started a fresh run a while back and only have The Princes, NK, and SOC left. Is the DLC good enough to keep me from moving on to DS remastered? Never played the original, so i'm pretty damn excited.

DLC is pretty good and gives some awesome lore. The final boss is one of the best in the series.
Buy both with confidence.
