the lore in dark souls is really deep, but very hidden.

its entirely possible to beat both games and have zero idea what any of the lore is

reading item descriptions, piecing together why certain pieces of loot exist in certain areas, and youtube videos kind of explains it.

you have to really seek out DS lore and sort of fill in the gaps with your own ideas

Aldrich the devourer of gods was the worst fight for me so far. Only thing I’ve used a summon for was the lightning pope because I fricking hate 2 enemy boss fights.

I was able to get him 3rd try last night. Was happy with that.

And to the other guy, get the DLC. Ringed city is fun and hard and infuriating all at the same time.

Just started this last week. Now, I’m currently getting stomped by Lorian/Lothric.

Finally legit bought this since it's on sale on Steam. Man, figuring out the online is crazy. Every time I invade of get invaded I get rocked hard.

So how do you earn the fingers covenant items or watchdogs? Still confused on how all that works. Just been helping boss battles as the sun guys.

Just bought this on PC. Would you recommend playing with an xbox controller?

the damn tutorial shows xbox controls and not PC controls.

but the controls learned in ds1 carry over to ds3.

most people swear by controllers even on PC and I used a controller in the past on xbox, but I switched to keyboard and find it just as easy to use.

im up to the cursed greatwood in my ds3 pc replay

This would technically be first DS game, although I gave DS1 a try a while back. Controls felt clunky, but I think it just game down to me needing to git gud.

Definitely. Xbox360 is what I use. Jumping can be kind of a pain.
