And it wasn't like we didn't know. His 21 years of mentorship under Wright. His close association with the murderous/rad bombers from the 60's and 70's.

And yeah, given the context of the radical Muslim movement and the convert or die deal and his being raised in that faith and the double whammy of obvious worship of his Muslim/Communist father....Come on. But the same half of the American public that voted for him are still out there and more determined than ever. Obama's laziness probably saved us but there is no assurance that the next Dear Leader won't be motivated!

He was a good snake oil salesman. He tricked me twice. I never voted GOP until 2016 and that was for President Trump. He helped break the shackles that held me to the Democratic Party.

It’s sad to look back on the last eight, sixteen, who knows how far back in years and realize what a waste they were politically.

If the liberal media would have done their job and vetted him with the same tenacity they did to Sarah Palin, who was more qualified to be POTUS than Obama at the time, he would not have won, let alone win the DNC nomination...

He was/is a Master Liar. Hell, He got me the first time. It was such a good chance to heal Racial division, I (and many I suspect) took a shot that His better angels would prevail. Well, the angels got threw under the bus by the Chicago Political strategists and Obama's own Marxist/Racist sympathies.

He's done. Forward from here. Live and learn.

Onky about 20% of the country gets it. Republicans that voted for Cruz, Rubio and Jeb are just as fricking stupid as democrats that voted for Hillary. Trump and Carson were the only two real choices for cbange and washington would have eaten Ben Carson alive.

Uhh, no! Half of the American voters voted for him in both elections. Not half of the USA population.

I know right, what part of "God Damn America US of KKK !" coming from his preacher did some people not understand?

That's not even mentioning that he was a community organizing harvard lawyer from chicago! But still it all fell on deaf ears.

Though if we are all honest in hindsight would McCain or Romney been any better?

He fooled a lot of people in 2008. I know quite a few of conservatives that voted for him then but his true colors were slowly revealed.

That’s what happens when you have a complicit media running cover for you.

He tricked me in 2008. Partly because I don't like McCain, partly because I was not a W fan for his last term and was frustrated with the Republican party, and partly because I believed in what he said was his vision and hope for America. I was also young.

I was happy with my choice for about a year, but with Obamacare and the way the Dems shoved that down our throats, I was done.

I don't expect I'll vote Democrat again for a long time.

Though I understand your thread title, no, over half of the US never voted for Obama in either election.

It was the college liberal professor wet dream stimulated by war and economic recession. It was the perfect storm of "well frick lets see what happens". The irony is Obama was such a mistake that Trump benefited greatly from the failed over correction.

Trump is running America like a business, but liberals like to set businesses on fire. Literally. So you have the current situation today.

By 2nd term Trump will win over the few sane left leaning individuals and you'll see a red wave much like Reagan accomplished. Then it'll get diluted and swampy and power will shift back.

Obama was the result of 24/7 positive Obama coverage from most of our msm and Hollywood.

It worked twice for Obama. They tried to do it for hillbitch, but at that point, most states started to realize that our free press was part of the democrat propaganda wing.

I won't begrudge people for voting for him the first time, but voting for him twice is just unbelievable.
