These were deals with large nations with geo-strategic reach.

Explain to me why Trump is giving the same kind of importance to 33 year old fat homicidal dictator of by far the most despicable, economically bankrupt and morally impoverished nations on earth.

You're a fool if you can't see what the big deal is.

Because it’s more about China than it is NK. And a unified Korea in peace would create a significantly economically powerful nation. It’d also be nice to formally end a war we lost 35,000+ American soldiers in.

I have a deceased father-in-law who was a Korean POW for 38 months. I'm pretty sure he would think this possible peace agreement is every bit as important as the two you mention.

It has nothing to do with making NK "important."

It has everything to do with taking advantage of an opportunity to possibly get something accomplished in a part of the world that desperately needs something done. North Koreans are starving - literally.

Why not try to see if we can get KJU to play nice?

If I'm Trump one-on-one with KJU my message is simple: if you come around and open up your country, you will literally become the most revered leader in your country's history. Bring the real promise of prosperity all of your people, and they will love you forever.

Not just your people. The entire world will laud you for what you've done. You're a smart man. Do what is in your country's best interest, and you and your country will prosper beyond your wildest imagination.

If, however, you start behaving like a belligerent 3rd grader, we'll destroy you, and your people will forget you in a few short weeks.

The choice is yours.

He is giving away South Korea to Kim? Because there is no way Kim is giving up his nukes, his army and his kingdom.

That was has been over for a long time now.

Come on man. Leave the title of Board Idiot to someone else. You're too new to be in the running - but we will make exceptions if need be.

Frankly, you have no idea what his wishes are, he took over the country as a 20-30 year old young man. There's a lot of room there for him to chart his own path. Is being an iron fist dictator of north korea better than being rich and powerful in the world?

I don't think so.

They did and were unsuccessful at getting it. - the KJU trio to China

Can’t tell if you’re trolling or you’re just really that stupid to suggest this is how unification would go, if it happens.

quote:

That was has been over for a long time now

Tell that to the SKs who’ve died since and the constant hostilities, our stationing of tens of thousands of troops there. Besides that, I said formally. There is no formal peace treaty that was signed to formally end the war.

1. North Korea has nukes
2. They are led by a madman
3. Kim has threatened the U.S., Japan, and South Korea in the past.

Making peace is a very big deal.

a unified Korea

Not gonna happen as long as China says it won't happen. I don't even want to see what we'd have to give China for them to agree to a unified Korea.
