Then you’re a fool. Lebron is significantly better in PER, WS/48, BPM, and VORP.
It’s like saying you’d take Schilling over Spahn because Schilling has more strikeouts and WS titles.

Yes. If Durant truly believes (and I think he is just trolling Lebron) that Kobe is top 2 all-time, then he is wrong. Being a great player doesn’t make him knowledgable about history or statistical analysis.
There are no facts to support the thesis that Kobe is a better basketball player than everyone besides Michael Jordan.

You're the same as many Kobe fans. No biggie. There are plenty of delirious people out there.

If they all stated they would choose Kobe over Lebum (and I really need to see a source on this), then 109% they are wrong.

Yes. Seriously.

Kd is young
Kobe is not even in my all time top 5.
He was clutch with game on the line.
Russell
Wilt and Petit had to play vs Russell. They both got one ring during russell era. He got 11.
Kareem.
Larry
Magic
Wilt
MJ
Shaq
West
Barry. Barry's rebounding was much better and their scoring and assists nearly identical.
Barry led league in steals.
He played for a non.millionaire who could not keep a roster after an NBA championship.
Kobe.

I can point you to plenty of players that won’t have Kobe top 2. Does Durant know more than they do?

I respect former players saying Kobe is better than some dude named tigercross.
As far as sources go,
1) Pay me
2) Here is McGrady saying he'd rather play Lebron

Here is Stephen Jackson:

Here is Sir Charles choosing Kobe over Lebron

Barkley, KG, Kidd, Dr. J, Magic, Hakeem also have legitimate arguments for being ranked above Kobe based on advanced metrics
Posted on 6/8/18 at 6:46 pm to tigercross
I concur. Hakeem was incredible at his peak.
Kobe lasted longer.
Fwiw Dr j won an aba carrying "my" hometown Hempstead long island nets over artis Gilmore colonels going for their 3rd or 4th.

Gilmore Is another guy who is continually underrated

You give big men a lot of credit.
You do what you want, it's your list.
I don't view Wilt Chamberlain as a skillful player.
Bill Russell is too high in my opinion.
Kareem had that sky hook, but he was 7 foot 4 shooting over people a foot shorter than he. Not a lot of skill there, either.
Also, how is Larry higher than Kobe?

Why don't you tell us how Kobe is better than Bird instead.

PER? WS/48? BPM? VORP?
Larry is better across the board in useful metrics.

There's a reason why every comprehensive stat to measure a player's ability has LeBron significantly ahead of Kobe.
There's a better argument Kobe isn't top ten all time than there is that he's top two. LeBron's career PER is 27.7. Kobe's is 22.9. That is a yawning gap.
Tim Duncan's career PER is 24.2, which is decently higher than Kobe. That says a lot about where Kobe falls.

I’d like to see an argument for Kobe being top 10 that doesn’t rely on “counting” stats.

Another good comparison is KG's 22.7 career PER vs Kobe's 22.9. That is the sort of tier Kobe's in.

Yep. Great, but not all time top 10.
