Didn't expect the daughter to die at all really. That was a shock. The trailer did a great job not really letting you know where the movie was going.

One of the few times a movie has made my mouth go agape and have me utter “holy shite” out loud.

So Zombie, is it worth seeing?

The trailer made me think it was about the daughter but she was barely in it. The first half was kinda slow but it really kicked into high gear in the second half. My favorite part was Annie floating in the attic sawing her own head off. I enjoy a good decapitation and this movie had a few of them.

Does anyone else hate seeing non-traditional horror movies such as this in theatres? With the jump scare movies it’s fun because everyone is scared at the same time and it can get a little rowdy. But a movie like this, people were laughing at the wrong times and stuff like that. At the end I heard a lot of wtfs, and that was bad, and I don’t get it etc.

I went at 10:00 AM to avoid this element of mouth breathers who ruin movies.

At one point every one in my theater was making the clicking mouth sound when the daughter was on screen sounded like a bunch of Ugandan Knuckles

You're going to the wrong theaters. I avoid stupid jump scare movies in any format.

Well being in the Bible Belt I heard a few people say they felt dirty after watching it. Baptist.

It's worth seeing, in my opinion. I scare kind of easily in theaters, so the tense scenes got me good. I do wish there'd have been a different visual/audio cue to signify the demon, as the clucking is annoying, but that's nitpicking.

Most people, especially young people, don’t like horror movies that make you have to utilize your brain and piece things together.

I usually avoid going on Friday and Saturday nights when a horror film opens to avoid those crowds, but my theater was surprisingly quite.

From the moment peter wakes up until he climbs into the treehouse I pretty much had my eyes closed. During this period I started sweating profusely and had a mild panic attack. I left the theater drenched in sweat.

Saw it today. Very deliberate first hour but the last hour got going (the shot to Charlie’s decapitated head!), and the last 20 mins was intense. Enjoyed it. Like The Conjuring meets The Witch meets the The Exorcist.

I’m a horror movie aficionado so I feel confident in hyping up this movie. Now it could have been because my theater had the sound jammed all the way up, but the score had me severely unsettled.

Im typically a giant puss while watching horror movies, so that might be one reason.

Still, though. This movie is intense.

Against my better judgment, we went to see it, in spite of absolutely nothing in the trailer compelling us to do so. (The beauty of MoviePass, kids...)

Jesus Christ, this was the dumbest film I've seen since mother!...

I wanted it to be good, I really did. The first 30 minutes were okay, but this was another case of a director who believed their Mommy when she told him he was the bestest boy in school.

You are easily scared. I found nothing remotely good or scary about this money. It was long and drawn out nonsense. I thought it was a spoof of a real horror film. Did not enjoy this one at all. To each his own.

Count me in. This movie was idiotic.

Just got out. The people that are saying this movie sucks are just wrong. There are many times in the movie that you’ll just be like wtf is going on, but to say this is a bad movie is just a lazy opinion.

why exactly did the mom want Peter to take Charlie to a high school party? I wouldn't have bothered to go if I had to take her along
