KD doesn’t need strength to hit a pull up 35 foot three at 6’11 or whatever his height is.
Not really hindsight speaking but I was never a fan of Oden’s. In college, and the pros, Oden just appeared slow, up tight, and had mechanical looking basketball moves. All he did was crowd the restricted area because his offensive game was garbage 5 feet and out as well. I’m sure his shot could’ve improved without the injuries, but as rigid as he played, I doubt the rigidity would yield to much better flexibility.

I remember honestly thinking at the time that KD should be considered as the #1 pick. Oden was decent in that one year at Ohio State but nothing spectacular. I think his last game in the national championship made everyone think that he was going to be a dominant center.
Even if Oden never had injury issues, I don't think he would be a top 5 Center today.

OKC has to be one of the biggest what-ifs in sports history
They had THREE MVPS. They kept the worst one. Jesus

There were legitimate questions about his ability to create separation coming out of Texas.
dont remember this.
Based on his strength they thought guys would body him up and he wouldn't be able to match it.
It was like the scouts were stuck in the 90s and didn't see the changes going on in the game

Greg Oden was a dominant post player when healthy.

not like OKC got any championships out of KD.
Suddenly Lebron wants to act like KD is the Goat? KD wanted rings, so he joined the team that was in line to win them. And up until a few hours ago, Curry was running away with the Finals MVP
And might still win it
