Walker
Hilliard
Storz? Marceaux?

Pen should be dirty as shite, assuming Hess is open to go back to being a closer, with Peterson serving as the setup guy.

We do need a lefty specialist with Bush gone

Kodros will be the lefty specialist.

Lots of talent coming in. Tigers will be loaded

Too early to tell but I’d put labas before storz at this point

If labas gets his velocity back, he has to be Friday or Saturday.

We need someone better than Kodros

Walker and Marceaux would be great options

I’d go for a power arm with the other spot.

I would agree with that, I wasnt listing who should be on what days, rather you know for sure Walker and Hilliard will be in the rotation next year

If labas and storz “get right” they seem like they have serious weekend potential. That’d leave Walker and Hilliard and Hess to battle out for the last spot. It’s pretty incredible to think we might have 4-5 guys who have legit starter potential next season.

If Hill and Henry don’t sign, they will be in the mix.

Kodros is gonna be a good pitcher. I suppose they could add someone later. I think Kodros is gonna add some velocity and be an asset.

Jaden Hill can touch 95 with a plus change up. If he’s not a starter, he will pitch a lot. Interesting to see what CPM does with Hess. He was bad this year, but you know he wants to be a starter and I’m sure he voiced that as a reason to return.

Something else to watch for is how Walker looks post injury. TJ is obviously a serious procedure

Walker and Hilliard will be in the rotation next season to start, no doubt, and if they pitch like they did their freshman years, they will stay there.

I’m not certain Hilliard is a weekend guy next year.

Marceaux is a weekend guy day one imo.

You'll see Storz and Labas battle for the midweek role with the loser being a pretty damn integral part of the pen. It wouldn't surprise me to see both of them become good enough to push Hilliard out though. If not both of them then one of them and push Hilliard to midweek.

I love Hilliard and hes been great. That's not a knock on him at all. I just see those two being real fricking good for us

Put Hilliard in the pen and use him twice per weekend or extend him if someone has a bad outing. Hess experiment, Walker, and a free for all for the other spot. We haven’t had this much upside on the same roster in a while, someone will emerge.

ETA: Fontenot, Hilliard, and Peterson if he isn’t back in the mix as a starter is a strong, experienced foundation in the bullpen.

I’d say opening weekend that’s a safe bet... assume Walker comes back 100%. I wouldn’t be surprised if one of them gets bumped to mid week though.

I mean it is. But certainly not like it used to be. Most come back just as good or better now. Hell a lot of kids get to college having already undergone Tommy John
