I think this was the root of your problem. Wife and I lived near Emory for 1 1/2 yrs and loved the Virginia highlands, Midtown, Inman Park areas off of the Beltline.

I live near Canton/Ball Ground area in the suburbs and we really like it here. Small town/city feel and not too far from Atlanta if we want to do something.

Nope not done ranting yet...I didnt live anywhere near MARTA. I don’t understand how housing is so expensive. Atlanta is very spread out. Takes 30-45 minutes to get anywhere worth going.

Stayed downtown this weekend by the hard Rock Cafe. Saw a homeless guy punch a woman in the mouth as she was crossing the crosswalk for seemingly no reason.

Probably best time in history to be in Atlanta. It's great.

Even from north Sandy Springs in traffic you're 15-25 minutes away from the north buckhead bars and restaurants on Roswell, barring some complete blockage. You're 10 minutes south of downtown Roswell.

Almost moved there but unfortunately its pain in the arse to get to where I was working in Dunwoody. Didn’t want to spend 3 hours commuting every day

Atlanta is a great city.

The traffic is, however, an inarguably major con to it.

Pretty sure. She claimed he was ranting at her about something racial before it happened but that was about it. Cops told her he's likely schizophrenic. She's ok though she did post a picture and was pretty busted up.

Was she wearing a gray Heineken shirt?

I was decently close to Roswell in north Sandy Springs...but Roswell was just kinda lame.

Ill admit if I didnt have to work in Dunwoody and could have lived closer to beltline, my experience would have been completely different. Maybe a decent place to raise a family in the burbs. Im not married and don’t have kids.

If youre bored in Atlanta, then you're boring. There's more to do here than any city in the South.

If you had to guess, what would you say the reason is.

I mean the answer is obviously supply and demand. I don’t understand why there is so much demand

Living up there when you are young unmarried and no kids is basically the same as moving to Dallas and living in Plano or McKinney. You're not experiencing the fun parts of the city that someone in your circumstances should be.
