Yes, different bats and no steroids. Oregon State has scored 26 runs in two games. We've scored one. It's not all bats and steroids.

You admittedly aren't a fan. And, you don't like the style of play. I comprehend what you are saying.
Your biggest issue, whether you want to admit it or not, is your initial statement. You aren't really a fan of the game. That's your problem.

That's actually not my problem. That's LSU's problem. When the product was better, I was a consumer and they profited. Now it's boring and I don't give a shite, even though I could under different circumstances. LSU athletics is a business.

Stop being obtuse. OP wants to know why LSU isn’t even near the top of the power hitting teams now. If the answer is that PM likes small ball, then fine. If your answer is “gorilla ball is dead and we had an injury and the pitcihers were hurt” then that’s no answer at all.
It wasn’t long ago we LSU fans were bitching about UC Irvine’s painful-to-watch small ball. LSU has never won a NC with small ball. Are we now just a small ball team? And if so, why? OP’s point is that LSU shouldn’t have to be. Hitting home runs shouldn’t be a rarity.
