SEC presidents voted today. Previously, SEC required grad transfers to sit out a year when transferring to another SEC school
This is for "GRAD" transfers which according to the NCAA they have been eligible immediately anyway.

Progress, but not enough. NCAA needs to stop restricting transfers for non-graduates. No restrictions on coaches, athletic department officials or school administrators. Students should be treated the same.

Yep I believe so. Coaches can’t block it from happening now.

Basically sounds like the league said SUCK IT NICK

I understand it for grad transfers. If you go to college, and earn your degree, then you should be able to freely pick the school you want to go to. In the case of players like Burrow, the kid wants to make it to the NFL. Without playing in college, that would have been a huge road block.
Opening it to any player can transfer to any school, at any point during his college career, is opening a bad bag of worms in my opinion. These are kids that think they should be playing as freshman, because that is what they are used to. In most cases, they probably aren't ready yet. Forcing them to sit a year kind of deters them from leaving, and making a better decision, rather than hoping from team to team. I hope they don't take it this far, but I agree with the grad transfers. At least the grad transfers are coming out of it with a degree, if nothing else.

That would be terrible.

It's so sad to see people voluntarily engage in these activities. Poor things.

Sure thing. You will make minimum wage throughout your whole college enrollment while playing football. Next, you will no longer go to college for free AND you WILL be expected to pay for ALL of your own expenses. That includes any meals and hotels for any and all travel; which includes post season appearances where hotel stays can be multiple times along with several consecutive nights stay.
There, all settled.
Now let’s see how long some of these “oppressed” turds stay enrolled in school.

I can’t believe you can block any transfers anywhere. If they sit out a year they should be able to go wherever the hell they want.

Grads shouldn't have to sit. I am okay with it.

frick that.
Kids will leave constantly and the cross-program recruiting will get ridiculous.
If you graduate, I agree it should be free transferring anywhere.
