Man dies after injuring himself during break-in

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A man died from injuries he sustained while breaking into a house on Princess Street early Friday morning, according to the Wilmington Police Department. Officials say William Tyler Tuttle, 29, was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center and placed in the intensive care unit after injuring himself on a glass window. On Friday evening, a police spokesperson confirmed that Tuttle died at the hospital. Tuttle, who allegedly was under the influence of impairing substances, left his vehicle running in the middle of 15th and Market streets at approximately 3 a.m. Friday morning.

"Police located Tuttle in the street and first aid was administered before he was taken to the hospital.
