They really need a standalone Vader movie while James Earl Jones is still alive. Make it a few years after Sith. Just Vader going around wrecking shite. Hell make it a 3 hours long epic. Back a brinks truck up to James Cameron’s house and have him direct it. frick, put Michael Bay in sole charge of special effects but that’s all he gets. Rate it R. Have Hans Zimmer, John Williams, and Steve Jablonsky collaborate on the score. First 3 billion movie ever. I think OML would even sign up to watch that.

The problem is James Earl Jones sounded really old in Rogue One. I’m also concerned for his performance Mustafa in The Lion King and would have rather they had brought back Jeremy Irons.

But yes I would prefer that to an Obi Wan or Boba Fett Movie, but I’d rather them take risks on movies that could actually be good rather than just relying on characters and stories we already know about.

That’s why I want them to make Shadows of the Empire. Vader basically takes down a bunch of killer droids he has built to challenge him because he’s such a bad arse.

Well there is at least source material.

If even prefer a romance of sorts, if done right, in the mold of the book Lost Stars. There are plenty of callbacks to the OT here as it spans the entire period from Star Wars to the Battle of Jakku. Lots of opportunities for creativity here, as well as a different perspective of the Empire, OT nostalgia and a strong female protagonist.
