There are only a handful of blue bloods in CFB. LSU is not among them.

ETA: That is surprisingly accurate. Miami at 50% is laughable though.

No brainers:

91% Alabama
90% Ohio State
89% OU
83% USC
81% Notre Dame
72% Texas

An argument can be made for:

67% Nebraska
64% Michigan - - - - - -

55% Penn State
50% FSU

They must have polled a whole lot of old folks on there to have Michigan and Nebraska so high

This was in the article I posted earlier about the Miami - LSU game.

"Beyond featuring two blue blood programs that figure to be competitive in their divisions, the opening Sunday night’s LSU vs. Miami matchup in Arlington holds a lot of intrigue."

Can’t consider Penn state or Notre Dame as bluebloods. We have to remember that they were independents and we’re allowed to schedule all of their own games, many of which were ridiculous matchups.

I think there are just three true “blue bloods” - Notre Dame, Alabama, Michigan.

I think there are plenty of lower tier schools below that - Texas, Nebraska, Penn State, LSU, Ohio State, USC, Florida State

Everything under that just falls under that.

Texas. Nebraska and Michigan are no longer blue bloods. Texas has a chance to come back. Nebraska and Michigan have no recruiting base any more. I cannot imagine Tennessee being ahead of LSU.

LSU probably about where it is currently. We have a foundation to move up.

Not sure what Blue blood actually means, and who really gives a frick, but LSU is 16th in all time wins.

I Louisiana would make the Louisiana families pay back all welfare if their "blue chip" son doesn't attend LSU then LSU would be a "blue blood"
