You know, I bet there were no school shootings in North Korea last year. I know that sounds absurd, but it demonstrates the essential tension of living in a free country. Many many more free people will make really really bad decisions in a free country . And most people are willing to take their chances with the freedom than without.

Freedom comes with a cost and some negative consequences

But when you have a strange pattern of tragedies like this it's at least worth looking into the root causes to see what can be done to prevent them

One thing is for sure. If the mental health of our youth is in this poor of shape school shootings won't be the only consequences.

Absolutely.

Not to mention that tripling a country's population in less than a century also means tripling the number of people capable of making those really really bad decisions.
