I still remember meeting him when I was a 12 year old in ‘62. He shook my hand and signed an autograph for me. He made me feel like I was the most important kid in the world.
RIP # 20 - you will always be the greatest Tiger in my book.
Condolences to the Cannon family. You are in the thoughts and prayers of the entire Tiger Nation.

He was walking around the front gates at TS talking with fans and laughing it up. This most definitely comes as a shock. RIP.

Yeah, I was really surprised to hear the news. He seemed happy and at peace with his life now, so I'm glad he was at peace when he passed.

I can still hear that old LSU tape the bookstore used to sell with LSU's announcer talking about the night of the Billy Cannon run..."It was a hot, misty, muggy night...." Always loved that and then the recording of the run that followed.

As long as that grainy footage exists, he'll never really die.

I used to pass Billy Cannon's house everyday on Sherwood Forest on my way to work. He truly loved LSU. Tiger fans are already missing their Heisman and favorite Halloween star.

Who will be the next Billy Cannon? Are you hearing me, Joe B?
