Seinfeld-as much as I love the show, I thought it was weak.

I'll always argue against that. As time goes on I think people forget the absolute phenomenon Seinfeld was. I mean it was like Tiger woods or Jordan at their prime, it was on top of the entire universe and all anyone talked about. It was the undisputed king. There is simply no way to have a finale that would live up to the expectations people set in their minds.
With that said, there was nothing wrong with the finale. People act like it was on par with a season 1 or 2 episode, which it absolutely wasn't. It was still good TV. Furthermore it gave the audience a little hat tip in the form of incorporating former characters we knew and loved.
And finally, in the most absolutely perfectly-seinfeld ending you could possibly imagine...the very last scene in show history is the same conversation they have in the opening scene of the pilot. Which prompts george to ask "haven't we had this conversation before?" That closing scene is absolute perfection.

oh hey there's someone who didn't understand what was point blank told to the viewer.

I understood it, it was just fricking retarded and the whole final season was awful and a giant middle finger to the viewer

What made that one all the more frustrating was how absolutely incredibly awesome Seasons 1-4 were. Just wonderful television. To go from that to S8 was such a gut punch.

Agree, they should have left it alone after the compilation episode. That’s the “hat tip” it needed.

you may not care for it (to each their own) but to call it "worst TV finale" is equally as retarded.

you mean the highlight show? You think the greatest sitcom of all time's final episode should be a highlight episode?

Good way to say it. For me, in comparison with how much I like it, the finale fell flat.

When he drove that stupid boat into the hurricane 5 million people watching reacted simultaneously

How I Met Your Mother - that finale made me never want to watch an episode in syndication ever again.
Another vote for Dexter
Sons of Anarchy - did not care for the ending at all

Didn't he go into the hospital and roll Deb out too with no one noticing. God it was so awful.

I came here to post this. Not only did the last episode invalidate the last season, it invalidated the entire show.
I can’t even watch it in syndication now.

I kind of agree. The build up to the finale was enormous. This was still a time when network TV was king. It was expected to be the most watched finale since MASH. Nothing could have lived up to the hype. But the ending was Seinfeld. After nearly 10 years they end up doing the only thing they ever liked to do. Sit around together talking about "nothing". It was a fitting goodbye to a show about nothing. The rest of the finale was just leading to that moment.
