If this was a serious thread, I'd love to see some of the answers from the OB baws. In an attempt to make it semi-serious here goes:

Seahunter 37

Seahunter 28

Scout 420 LXF

36 Blackwater Sport (in a different color combo)

ETA The last two would be my sand bar/Prop Stop rides.

I mean if we are dreaming I'll take Singularis a sweet little 90' Bayliss with a pair of MTU M94s at 2600 hp each.

A sportfisher is definitely my ultimate dream rig

If we must maintain some sense of realism here, I want a 34-38' center console one day.

Well we are dreaming, so stick whatever you like under there as well as the biggest sea keeper you can buy.

If you're running a 90 bayliss it's not like you give a shite. They'll be meticulously gone over by "your guy" every trip. I've never been out on a boat like that but they might even bring a tech out with them.

I can't even day dream about that kind of shite. I couldnt afford a pair of injectors for that boat. I couldnt afford the mattresses in that boat. I couldnt afford to get the barnacles scraped off that boat. I couldnt afford anything associated with that boat

Eta: I just clicked the link. That tub is ridiculous. I think it has more living space than my house

Yea that's kind of where I was going.

However a 90' Viking would be crucial. I've also always liked the Nordhavn 76'

Yeah for sure,

but I have fished 42' - 80' sportfishers (Hatteras and Viking, my uncles boats) for 20 years, and there are plenty of downsides

1. You can't operate that boat without a captain and at least 1 deckhand (for a 90 you'll need 2 deckhands, maybe 3). And most of those dudes are revolving door trash alcoholics and druggies that you have to recycle every 2-3 years. It's a pain in the arse.

2. It's a lot easier to fish a CC in various situations

3. The CC is 2x - 3x as fast

My one and only tuna trip was in one and it sucked for actual fishing. And I really hate trolling.

A lot of the captains are certified mechanics for whatever engines their running.

We always ran CATs and I think 2 of the 5 or so captains he's been through were certified CAT mechanics. And yeah it came in handy numerous times while 80 miles offshore.

Have never needed a mechanic when offshore in the Jupiter (knock on wood)

Yea they're not the most practical thing for sure. For a pure fishing machine a big center console makes more sense. A sportfisher is really built for multi (3 or more) day trips with plenty of people, some who aren't salty fishermen. It just isnt necessary for a 2 day tuna trip with 4 guys. Too big, too slow, too expensive, too little room to fish

Mother frick they are nice though.
