it's a spring game...... which means less than an august scrimmage or jamboree

it means a lot when you lose 42-0 and essentially show that you have nothing

I know right, it's a shame we don't have a 5A darkhorse like Chalmette on the bayou.

If rumors on the bayou are true things got a whole lot more interesting.

We are hearing Andrew Robison's dad got fired as BBall coach at Vandy and Andrew is transferring to Tbonne. Anyone can confirm?

Can't believe Vandy didn't just keep his dad 1 more year even if he don't win a single basketball game. Really who there cares about basketball?

Not to mention Andrews a stud in basketball.

It should be an easy choice for him. 5 skill players on offense with offers for Terrebonne and he wouldn’t have to drive 45 minutes to school

Well I doubt he'd be eligible at Hville unless they moved into the school district, but either way the offense at Terrebonne is definitely more suited to Robison than Hahnville's. Salt wants to run the ball.

Not this season.

Hahnville gas ppaaced a sophomore in at quarterback and put Jackson at receiver. They are going to throw it way more to his year.

Still, Terrebone should be the choice. Destrehan is easily the team to best in that district but terrebone should be solid.

Destrehan's offense is going to be otherworldly.

Sure, more than last year with Pooka carrying every down, but Salt is the Les Miles of high school football. He will run the ball, and run it some more and throw only when he has to.

When Richard was running the offense, and they had two D1 receivers, Neal/Perrin at QB he'd complain every week in the paper that they weren't running enough. As soon as Richard was gone he went back to running the ball 85-90% of the time, that's what he's comfortable with and hell it's been working for him so I don't see him changing no matter the QB.

Everyone keeps saying Terrebonne has no chance at their district. They were a 7-3 team last year who blew a huge lead vs East St John and Hahnville couldn’t pull away from until late in the 4th. They lost less than 6 starters. And none of their leaders last year were seniors. On top of that added two all district transfers at DB and and very good linebacker that was a sophomore at CL.

Not a single CENLA team... man that area sucks for football.

Actually, Cenla puts quite a few kids into D-1 every year. Unfortunately, ASH and Pineville, since moving up to 5A, have struggled mightily. Also, the open enrollment hasn’t helped. There are 7 or 8 high schools in about 20 square miles, with a population of about 50k, so the talent is spread out.

How good is the Oubre kid from CL, seems like an above average player

Meh he was a solid linebacker here. If he was very good I'd be complaining that ya'll stole him from us.

Until anyone from the bayou proves otherwise they have every right to think no one from the bayou has a chance.

Other than Destrehan, Tbonne easily has the best skill guys in the district, but it all starts and ends upfront on the lines and that's where Terrebonne and all the other bayou teams get in trouble. Even if the starters are good, the depth just isn't there and throw in a couple of injuries and you're screwed.

well look at it this way. You win THAT district, you're probably good enough to make a run for the Dome.

Destrehan has as followed:

A Five or Four star tailback in John Emery

A four star receiver in Quinton Torbor

A Five star receiver in Quincy Brown

A Four star running back in Kyle Edwards

Entire offensive line returns plus their tight end.

Their quarterback returns.

Their defense is going to be incredible from what I saw in their scrimmage against covington.

Naw, Terrebone isn't beating Destrehan baw. Ain't happening.

they had all those people last year and the game was close

and Terrebonne came out flat not executing that game. Had a blown assignment which led to a punt block touchdown and had several touchdowns called back.

You realize that they were all freshmen, sophomore's, and juniors?

The major reason why is in the trenches. I saw terrebone against Ouachita last year and Ouachita was more physical and as athletic a they were.

How will terrebone stop all these guys this year? Honest question. Destrehan may have the best offensive football team in the entire south and one of the best in the nation with so much talent. And a public school? Ridiculous.

To be fair so was Terrebonne.

I'm sure they know they can't they'll just blitz the shite out of them and try to cause turnovers. If Terrebonne does get Robison though Destrehan will have a tough time stopping them also that'll be a shootout like Tbonne/Hville last year. I might have to skip whatever CL game is that week and go watch the firework show. In the end though Destrehan will win, they're better coached and have more depth.
