Whomever this is, I believe they were a double agent. Trump has been several steps ahead of the Deep state the entire way.
The planted spy by the fbi goes to Trump and tells him what is going on. Trump keeps him on board to get the counter intel in exchange for a pardon when and if the news ever breaks. The spy doubles down on his info should Trump lose the election and stays on his payroll for much more than his federal pension could possibly ever be worth.
Remember what Trump said in the final debate about accepting the election results and was roasted merciously for it. Turn about is fair play now that we see the actual results and how they’ve acted.

I think Sara Carter was also probing that question as well. Congress wants to find out who it is and whether he/she was receiving payments from the FBI.
I imagine the process of "how" works the same in all areas of espionage. Manipulate circumstances and have "your guy" in the right place at the right time. Having a paper trail of financial payments for "services" would be damning.

There is no doubt in my mind that history will show the Obama administration as the most corrupt time in our nation’s history. HRC was sent to simply cover up the crimes, nothing else. They almost had it made until DJT took the ride down the escalator.

When Mike Rogers went to Trump Towers, it’s very possible he may have not only informed Trump he was under surveillance, but also informed Trump that he had a spy in his campaign.
