I just watched it for the first time.

I honestly thought it felt very slow and the Russian names make it much more difficult to follow.

I’ll watch it again someday to see if I like it better.

I loved it when I first saw it as a senior in high school. I have loved every viewing since then.

Great movie. Show how it went down.

Story of one guy who just wants to be left alone and write poetry but is an enemy of the State for it.

If you're gonna watch it, you need to eat dinner at 6pm so you can get to bed before midnight.

Julie Christie, at that age, was hotter than a 2 dollar pistol.

Very slow, very long, and very English: much too reserved and restrained for Russia.

Omar Sharif, so good in Lawrence, is rather blank in the title role.

Best things in it are the music, photography, Rod Steiger as the heavy, and Julie Christie's beauty.

It’s passed up The Godfather as my favorite movie. I agree that it’s a little difficult to follow upon the first (few) viewing(s). It’s gets better with every watch.

Julie Andrews was a 10 in the movie.

When I was younger, I got it confused with Fiddler on the Roof, and thought it was a musical, so I never watched it.

Caught it on TCM on a slow night 10 or 12 years ago, watched it and I love it. I'm very, very jealous of Zhivago. Dude gets to have his cake, and eat it twice.

Great story, scenery, and score. Lots of Julie Christie playing a vulnerable character, Lara. Zhivago has a great family, great in-laws, etc., and he has Lara on the side.
War isn't always hell.

This is why we can't have good movies.
